I have lived in Carleton County for nearly five decades. I’ve always believed that you get out of your community what you put into it.
As a result, teaching Sunday school, leading Sparks and Brownies, fundraising for Children’s Wish and Relay for Life, organizing Prom, promoting the arts, being a Rotarian and managing hockey teams have kept me busy while my family was young.
I am a lifelong teacher. Although I no longer teach full time I have stayed involved in schools and love staying in touch with students.
My pride in being a New Brunswicker, is only surpassed by my pride in being a Canadian.
I am striving to meet my constituents and not only address their needs but become part of the larger community of Carleton-Victoria.
Joining Team Higgs and working toward bringing our people securely into the next decade is my mission.
