Caucus Chair MLA, Fredericton-York
Ryan Cullins grew up in Moncton and in 1994 moved to Fredericton to attend UNB. Since then, Ryan has called Fredericton home. Ryan lives in the riding of Fredericton-York with his wife Katherine and his two children Wesley (11) and Benjamin (9). Ryan and Katherine are expecting a third child in October.
While at UNB Ryan obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Following graduation from university, Ryan worked in the financial sector before accepting a role as a business development manager for a fortune 500 company. Based in Fredericton, Ryan served a large territory within New Brunswick. For the last ten years, Ryan has worked for a large Atlantic Canadian corporation in a business development role, once again covering a large territory within the province, including the riding of Fredericton-York. Through the many connections he has made over the years, Ryan has developed a deep appreciation for the challenges the people of New Brunswick face.
A volunteer scout leader for the 1st Nashwaaksis scouts, Ryan enjoys working with youth to help in the development of leadership skills and to gain an appreciation for the great outdoors. Ryan and his wife are regular donors to numerous charities including the Canadian Cancer Society and Hospice Fredericton.
Ryan has been active with his local Progressive Conservative riding committee and has volunteered at many events. During the last Federal election, Ryan served as a volunteer for a local Conservative campaign. It was after that campaign that Ryan wanted to get involved in politics. “It’s my passion to help people and with my business background I feel that I have lots to offer.” Ryan sees the struggles small business owners are facing during Covid-19 and with his business development background Ryan will be a key player in getting business back on track.
Ryan’s wife is also a proud Tory; her grandfather, Leon Rideout, served three terms as an MLA for the riding of Victoria. Ryan is ready to roll up his sleeves and work hard for the people of New Brunswick and the riding of Fredericton-York.
