Minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation
MLA, Miramichi Bay-Neguac
Réjean Savoie was elected as the MLA for Miramichi Bay-Neguac in a byelection held on June 20th, 2022. He previously served as the MLA for Miramichi Bay during the Lord Government from 1999 to 2003. He was appointed as the Minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation on October 13, 2022.
He was born in Saint-Wilfred, New Brunswick, on September 15, 1952, to Levi and Exéline (Roy) Savoie.
Réjean studied at the Bathurst Technical School and the New Brunswick Community College. He worked as a tractor trailer operator. He also owned and operated a restaurant and service station. For the past 16 years, Réjean was employed as a car salesman at Towne Chrysler. He served as a member of the school board and as a member of the board of directors for the Neguac Health Centre and the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in Chatham.
He is married to his wife, Leola and they have three children, Sylvette, Manon, and Annick.
