Jeff Carr is a 43 year old former small business owner and longtime coach and volunteer in organized hockey and baseball.
For the past 3 years, Jeff Carr worked as Executive Assistant to Minister and MLA Jody Carr.
Jeff was raised in Geary and Fredericton Junction and has lived in Geary his entire adult life with his wife Cathy and 18-year-old son Brandon.
Jeff has 25 years experience as a small business co-owner within the trucking, excavation and forestry industry with his late father Basil. He has either participated or coached in organized sports his entire life. He is past President of the Oromocto Minor Hockey Association. Jeff has spent 20 years in the political arena helping his twin brothers Jody and Jack Carr in their election campaigns. Jeff also grew up for 11 years in a military family and understands the sacrifices and value of our service men and women.
Jeff knows that jobs and the economy are the biggest issues facing New Brunswickers. His business experiences – both successes and challenges – is an asset as he supports the Progressive Conservative Government’s plan for safe, natural resource development.
Jeff also understands the value of sports, recreation and wellness and will work to build upon the Government’s increase in funding in these areas. He knows that sports and recreation and wellness brings communities together, and is part of the solution to build our province.
He knows how government works and will help build partnerships between the community and all levels of government to be a resource for the riding and to help people in need.
He graduated from Oromocto High School in 1989 and studied at UNB.
