Gary Crossman / Hampton

Gary Crossman 14 235x251

Gary was elected to Hampton Town Council in the 2012 provincial election and is presently serving as Deputy Mayor and Chair of the Planning Advisory Committee. He also serves as Council representative on the Economic Development and Tourism Committee.

Following his passion for education, Gary ran and was elected to the District Education Council for Anglophone South in the same election. He represents Sub-district 10, which includes all Hampton and area schools including Belleisle, Macdonald Consolidated and Hammond River Valley.

Gary also serves on the Board of Directors for Sussex Health Centre Services Inc.

Gary increased his community activities shortly after he retired as a school administrator in 2010, after working 32 years at several schools in the Hampton, Belleisle and Sussex areas. Along with his elected duties, he volunteers with the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, where his mother is a resident, and the Hampton Food Basket.

Gary’s dedication to his community has always been evident, as he poured his energies into the education of our children. With his energy and skills, we will be well served as he represents the people of this riding from Red Head to Hampton to Hammond River. Always a good listener, Gary is known for returning calls, emails and correspondence in a timely manner.

A life-long resident of Hampton, Gary attended and graduated from Hampton Consolidated School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1977 and a Masters in Education (Administration) in 1995.

Gary and his wife Marcia have three grown children and are proud grandparents to two grandchildren. Gary welcomes the opportunity to serve the constituents of the new riding of Hampton.
